Welcome to the Anniversary MYO Sushi Dog Event!!

Thanks for being interested in our species and event! To celebrate ten years of Sushi Dogs we are running a FREE MYO event for all members who have not participated in the past! Please be sure to read the rules carefully before submitting!

Rules & Information

Open to All Members (without an ANN Soosh) | Sep 01 - Sep 30 @ 11:59pm

For this event, we are allowing every new user during the month of September to create 1 (one) free Sushi Dog design! This is open to First-Time Owners (FTOs) and long-time members who have not participated in this event in the past!

But here's the catch! We want to hear about a food that means a lot to you and see the Sushi Dog based on it! Sushi Dogs created for this event will be labeled under the "ANN" category rather than MYO (i.e. ANN-001: Mac and Cheese)

Rules

• To participate in this event, you must fill out the form at the bottom of the page. This includes a prompt to write at least 250 words about a type of food that means a lot to you! Once ready, please comment below.

• The Sushi Dog you create must be at least loosely based on the food that you selected to write about!

• All art and design must be completed by the person submitting it! No collaborations or assistance is allowed.

• If a correction needs to be made you will be contacted either via reply or Discord if you choose to include it. Pending submissions are valid up to one week after Sep 30 @ 11:59 pm to allow for corrections. You will be notified before the week deadline.

• Any soosh created under this event is LOCKED to your account. This means you cannot trade them, sell them, gift them, or surrender them to the mirror.

• If you decide later you no longer want the design, it must be RETIRED as a Sushi Dog. They will remain on the site after retiring for archival purposes using the "RTD" tag.

• All Sushi Dogs submitted via this event must be ALL STANDARD traits. No items will be allowed to help speed up our approval process. You may apply items later once your design has been approved and registered.

• These rules may be updated later upon community questions and concerns. Please be sure to read through it one last time before submitting your design in case something has changed!

Sushi Dog Food: Mint Chocolate chip Cookie Ice Cream
Story of Food: Whenever i’m feeling sad or down, i go get a bowl of mint chocolate chip cookie ice cream, i even just grab it if im hungry and don’t know what to eat, or im craving ice cream! Mint chocolate chip cookie is my absolute favorite ice cream flavor! I love sharing it with friends and family. I love having it as a snack whenever i choose to eat a snack! I always get mint chocolate chip cookie ice cream when i go to the store and im going grocery shopping and need ice cream. i would choose mint chocolate chip cookie ice cream over any other ice cream flavor for dessert for any kind of event! Whenever we watch movies or shows or anything, i always choose, snacks, popcorn and ice cream, specifically mint chocolate chip cookie ice cream! You’ll always catch me eating this ice cream after dinner or lunch! i absolutely to eat this ice cream after dinner, it helps keep my main food down. im not a big fan of any other ice cream flavor except this one, i do love other ice cream flavors but i absolutely love love mint chocolate chip cookie ice cream. This soosh is gonna be my first soosh based on my absolute favorite ice cream flavor and he’s gonna probably be my main soosh! this soosh is going to be super sweet and hyper just like ice cream! He’s really gonna be a super cutie that for sure!

Sushi Dog Food: Sweet meal biscuit
Story of Food: i'm sick often n trying to keep energy up when you can't keep down food is quite hard, so biscuits are one of the main things I find myself nibbling on when sick~ I also eat them alot when I work, having a few beside me with a tea or coffee aswell, dipping em as I go (digestives are the best for dunking, rich tea's get soggy n mushy so fast) the main reason I chose this food for a theme though is because I wanted to make a soosh of my dog Obie! who has just turnt 16~ she has such a sweet tooth and loves biscuits, ofc she can't get em often but when her treat tub is empty we give her the lil broken biscuits at the bottom of the biscuit barrel, though now any time someone goes to get themselves one, she and her brother swarm us begging for em. honestly idk what else to say, the biscuits I chose for the theme are called digestive biscuits, they're wholemeal and supper yummy and as the name suggests they're pretty good for your tummy, whenever someone or somepup is sick our family always gets plenty of em in for nibbles, my grandads dog has had tummy issues since he was a pup, first week of having him it was basically all he ate (well that and chicken breast). as I said prior they are also the top tier dunking biscuit as they hold their shape and don't fall back in as easily, which is all thanks to the wholemeal~

Sushi Dog Food: Wild Strawberries and Cream Energy Drink
Story of Food: Strawberries are my favorite fruit, anything strawberry themed or flavored I love to try. It’s also a big bonus to me that most things that are strawberry themed are colored pink, which is my favorite color. Growing up my mom would take me to farms that grew strawberries and she would pay for me to go and pick them. Those were some of my favorite moments, grabbing a basket and running around looking for the best strawberries to pick. Then there was the awesome reward of eating them when I got home. It’s something I plan to do when I start my own family, I would love for my kids to experience what I did. Strawberries and cream is a simple recipe to make whenever I’m craving something sweet. My mom taught me how to make it one night when I wanted strawberry shortcake but we had no shortcake. It quickly became a favorite of mine. My mom also taught me how to make many strawberry themed desserts with the strawberries I brought home from the farm, but I love how quick and easy it was to make strawberries and cream.
Another thing this soosh incorporates is energy drinks. I am a big monster energy drink fan, I try not to drink them often but whenever I need the extra caffeine in my system they’re the first thing I grab. Recently they came out with a new flavor that is my all time favorite, it’s strawberry flavored and even better the can is pink. So for my soosh design I really wanted to make something that would incorporate all of this, and Im proud to say I did just that.

Hi! At the moment, we feel the tail is a bit too mimic-y to pass. Our suggestions are removing the sparkles and adding fur tufts/hair accents ovr some of the strawberries and cream in the tail! I hope that makes sense, and so sorry for the trouble!

Omg I didn’t even think of the sparkle trait my bad I just wanted to make her look like she had carbonation. I’ll fix it so it’s not so sparkle like. For the tail I am confused could u explain what trait it looks like and then I think that should help me realize what I need to do to make it not look like that trait. Ty !!!

Sushi Dog Food: Dark Chocolate Mint Cookies
Story of Food: So, ever since I was a child one of my favorite flavors of all time has been mint chocolate, comparable only to strawberries. One of my favorite memories was when I was in high school, me and a few friends had just finished the biggest test we had of the year, and one of the upper classmen in our group offered to buy us ice cream from the new parlor that had just opened up. We all had a free hour that afternoon so we walked across the railroad tracks over to the parlor. I was the last in line to get my ice cream because I couldn't decide what to get. I had originally settled on strawberry cheesecake, but was told to pick a second scoop of anything. that was when I decided to try the mint chocolate chip with it. As a bonus, the worker there had decided to add a couple dark chocolate little mint cookies to it much like thin mints along with little fresh strawberry chunks and little squares of cheesecake bites. It was probably the best ice cream I've had to this day. Back then I didn't get much in frivolous thing, so getting a two scoop ice cream with extras on top meant the world to me. Even to this day I'll buy me a box of mint chocolate cookies once in a while (Especially when the girl scouts come by and set up their stand) because they remind me of that time.
