Magic practice prompt for my boy eddie! He has creation magic. He can create his flavors of popcorn!!

It has now been a few weeks since Eddie has discovered his magic power and his circus has been even more chaotic ever since. Everywhere Eddie went it was almost guaranteed to have a popcorn emergency. Every show, every talent, there would be popcorn flying about and causing emergency after emergency. Eddie's sister Leona and his best friend were just about fed up with this constant popcorn ocean.
“Eddie, for the love of all things popcorn. You ARE going to Spicy Village to get help from that mentor to control this!” Alexei said to his best friend after being coated in sticky sweet popcorn out of nowhere during his jester acts. Leona is close behind and hands him a towel. “Eddie, I understand you are afraid to leave the circus unattended. But it won't be! Me and Leona can watch the circus in your absence. I promise to run it just how you do.” Alexei starts to pick popcorn stuck to his hat. “Jeez could you--can you at least try and make it go away? I don't want popcorn stuck to my hat Eddie.” Eddie closed his eyes and tried so hard to focus to poof the popcorn away but when he opened his eyes it all remained. He sighed and walked over to help his best friend pick the popcorn off himself.
“Are you guys sure you’re up for this?” Eddie looked back at his sister and Alexei. “I don't have to go, it's so much to look after, I'm worried it might be too much, what if something goes wrong and you guys don't know--” Eddie was interrupted in his panicked state. “Eddie! Don’t worry! It’ll be fine, this is important for you. You need to be able to control your powers. It'll help benefit the circus in the long run. Me and Alexei are your right hand sooshes. Your circus is in good hands.” Alexei put his arm around Leona and nuzzled his head into hers. “Agreed Eddie. Your little sister can handle this, oh and me too.” He nudged her with his hips snickering. She rolled her eyes at him. “Besides Ed, Seong-Su is leaving today and headed that way so it's lucky you won’t have to travel alone there.” He smiled at his sister and realized things might be okay, he nodded and hugged them and went on his way.
Leona was right about one thing, he was lucky he had Seong-Su to travel with, without him he's definitely sure he would've gotten lost. He got to the Spicy village and hugged his friend goodbye and headed in. He was trying to find Ryder and was unlucky at first. Until he quite literally bumped into the older soosh. And just as impact was made popcorn rained all around. “Now something tells me you were looking for me boy.” Eddie rambled a bunch of sorries to the soosh and tried to pick the popcorn off of him. It was hot sauce popcorn this time. Go figure. “No bother boy, something tells me I'll be covered in popcorn the next few days.” He chuckled. “Come on son. Let's head to my place and get you started on your training asap.” Eddie hurried and rushed behind him.
Once back at Ryder's place Eddie was nervous and he definitely showed it. “Boy, you aren't gonna be able to control this popcorn if you’re so nervous about it.” He put a paw on his shoulder. “I'm sorry sir it's just…when I first discovered this power I was able to control it. I made it float all around me and rain around too. But now? I can't even do it at will and when it DOES randomly happen I can't make it stop or even control the flavor!” He ranted to the older soosh. He chuckled.
“Son, that's perfectly normal. You just discovered this power. It's really impressive that you were able to control it that much at first. Even more impressive that your power is so strong it's practically always bursting out your popcorn. Most soosh that come to visit me can’t even get their power to happen again. Don’t give up on yourself yet. I know you’ll be able to do it kid.” He smiled and ruffled the hair on top of his head. “Alright now, from the top. Remember now. Focus on what you want.” Eddie closed his eyes and really focused on the popcorn. He held his hands out and took a deep breath. Suddenly popcorn did appear in his hands.
“Well look at that! You did it kid!” Ryder said to eddie. He opened his eyes and smiled and cheered for himself. Just then popcorn started to appear rapidly crowding the two sooshes. Popping around and appearing from all over. “I’m sorry--guess I got a little excited.” Ryder laughed and started shaking popcorn out of his hat.
“Don’t be sorry kid, this is a great step forward for your training. If we keep on track this way, you’ll be able to control it in no time.” Eddie smiled and brushed popcorn away and he chuckled. “One more try?”
As time passed Eddie got better and was able to control when to make his popcorn appear or float around him. Although, sometimes it would still happen randomly. Most of the time when Eddie got really happy or excited. They both have a sneaking suspicion that that will be a normal occurrence from here on out. Just a feeling. It came the day where Eddie was to return home now, he still felt unsure about ruining more shows at the circus with his unexpected popcorn attacks. But deep down he knew that his friends would always understand.
"You know, the popcorn tastes good besides being made of magic.” Ryder said as he chomped on some popcorn. Eddie spoke quickly, “I like to think it's because the popcorn recipes I do have are very delicious. Maybe it's correlated.” He started to feel emotional. He grew close to the older soosh after spending so much time with him.
“You’re ready to go back to your life, kid. You’ll be okay, your magic will be something special for your circus. Just make sure to come back and visit now ya here?” Eddie gave the soosh a big hug before waving and heading on his way with the map Ryder equipped him. Knowing ahead of time the popcorn soosh would indeed get lost. He started his journey alone, filled with excitement to show his friends his new control over his power.
