Sushi Dog Food: Milk with Honey
Story of Food:
My granny used to make me milk with honey, especially when I was sick and boy I was sick quite often as a child.
I used to have a cold constantly starting in November until March until I was a teenager. Since my mum had to work, my granny would often come over, or my mum would bring me to my granny before going to work, so I wouldn’t have to be alone. We would talk and play games and when I wasn’t sick she would craft with me, even wooden stuff my mum didn’t allow me to do (my mum was afraid I would saw off a finger with a simple fretsaw, my granny believed in me that I wasn’t utterly stupid).
Granny and I would stay up late, and before watching a movie or some series on TV, she would make us milk with honey.
Overall, my granny made me as honey crazy as I am today, she would always eat a butter bread with honey in the morning, and so would I when I was with her. She also often gave me honey bonbons which were delicious.
Whenever I make myself milk with honey today, or overall eat honey, I always get a nostalgic feeling of the times with my granny.
My granny is still alive, but after I ran away from home from my mum and moved to my bf, now fiance, travelling to my granny takes quite a long time, so having a bit of her with me whenever I eat honey makes me feel safe and comforted.
