Pawty MYO Event

Welcome to the Celebration Pawty MYO Sushi Dog Event!!

Thanks for being interested in our species and event! To celebrate another year of Sushi Dogs we are running a FREE MYO event for all members who have not participated in the past! Please be sure to read the rules carefully before submitting!

Rules & Information

Open to All Members (without a PAW Soosh) | Sep 01 - Sep 30 @ 11:59pm ET

For this event, we are allowing every new user during the month of September to create 1 (one) free Sushi Dog design! This is open to First-Time Owners (FTOs) and long-time members who have not participated in this event in the past!

But here's the catch! We want to hear about a food that means a lot to you and see the Sushi Dog based on it! Sushi Dogs created for this event will be labeled under the "PAW" category rather than MYO (i.e. PAW-001: Mac and Cheese)

Rules

• To participate in this event, you must fill out the form at the bottom of the page. This includes a prompt to write at least 250 words about a type of food that means a lot to you! Once ready, please comment below.

• The Sushi Dog you create must be at least loosely based on the food that you selected to write about!

• All art and design must be completed by the person submitting it if possible. If the user is unfamiliar with the species or not confident in their art, they may request FREE assistance from friends.

• If a correction needs to be made you will be contacted either via reply or Discord if you choose to include it. Pending submissions are valid up to one week after Sep 30 @ 11:59 pm to allow for corrections. You will be notified before the week deadline.

• Any soosh created under this event is LOCKED to your account. This means you cannot trade them, sell them, gift them, or surrender them to the mirror.

• If you decide later you no longer want the design, it must be RETIRED as a Sushi Dog. They will remain on the site after retiring for archival purposes using the "RTD" tag.

• All Sushi Dogs submitted via this event must be ALL STAPLE traits. No items will be allowed to help speed up our approval process. You may apply items later once your design has been approved and registered.

• These rules may be updated later upon community questions and concerns. Please be sure to read through it one last time before submitting your design in case something has changed!

Sushi Dog Food: Midnight Berry Smoothie

Story of Food: well ,a big part of this design is it being based on my two cats- and their names being penumbra and crepescule i decided to do a nightly themed berry- i'm a berry fiend- and while i couldnbt decied on strawberry or blueberry- design wise it vbery much leans more towards blueberry in the smoothie!! im also very fond of smoothies- so, (banana berry smoothies?? drroling emoji. anyways). so, my two little midnight berries, penny and sully sooshi-fied! i had a few other theme ideas, but honestly as an autistic system i tend toi fluncuate my eating habbits a lot- but berries are always something i'm able to get down despite this- so no matter what i tend to be craving ill always be down for that essentially!! sometimes i find it hard to get an appetite, for example, but if u bring me a berry muffin ill eat it despite it all. i tend to get excited even? especially over strawberry icecreams and the like. ALSO: blueberry banana cookies. uhh I'd say i picked smoothie too because i used to drink them a lot, and, you can put so many different berries and little combinations and have fun with it. strawberry banana or blueberry banana with some vanilla powder? i do wonder what would be in a midnight smoothie- blueberry, blackberry, banana, sesame seeds? mint? i'll have to thimk about it and try to make it someday. ;D if i didn't do this theme, I was going to do like- an off brand cherry pepsi name, since3 I drin kman unholy amount of pepsi and my favorite is the cherry. i wish there was a berry pepsi. (blackberry gingerale goes hard btw, which is the second closest ive got to cherry pepsi.) tdlr: pet cats and berries keep me going in life so heres a paw soosh to represent that in a way? :D

i aplologize for the temp artt, life got me :grabs: ive got a wip thatll have their traits ;ater that will be betterr ww

Sushi Dog Food: Vanilla Cracker S’mores
Story of Food: Smores were a snack I learned to make with my family when I was young. We placed a flat plate with 4 vanilla crackers along with one small piece of hershey chocolate and marshmallow. The first time my mother heated up the microwave I was awed by how the marshmallow expanded and it almost looked like it came to life. Sometimes we overheated and it tumbled over making a gooey mess for us to clean. Realizing when I was older we didn't do it quite right since it was supposed to be graham not vanilla lol. It was still delicious. Since realizing it, it didn't really change the alter recipes for it. I love it just the way it was. Later on I began making them with my friends back in college. It was a nice moment since each of Us brought ingredients and started having our own little moments together. Most of my friends never tasted a S'more so it was a nice experience to bring to them. We began getting creative on how to toast the marshmallow. There was a time with my gas stove, my marshmallow caught fire, I didn't panic. I was more amazed by the pretty Blue hue it created, but staring at it caused my poor marshmallow to be burnt to a crisp and was not tasty at all. In all S'mores to me brings me to a time when things were so simple and carefree, I didn't have to worry as much as I do now. Ans is still a nice snack I love to have from time to time.

could you provide a version of their image without a watermark for masterlist purposes? we want to make sure there aren't any watermarks covering any parts of sooshes - but your name or watermark is fine to go next to it! thanks for understanding :)

Sushi Dog Food: Ingledue Chicken Noodle Soup over Mashed Potatos
Story of Food: Although the person who created this dish is long gone i was able to snag the recipe to this comforting nostalgic dish. This dish was created by my great grandma ingledue and my aunt Phyllis (also a Ingledue), when i was very small she would watch me all the time while my mom worked. She would make this chicken noodle soup (although the soup part is more like gravy). It was made with lots of love and she would make it when i was down or for my birthday and holidays. While i could never get the noodles right they noodles are made from scratch as well. It reminds me of simpler times happy times that i would repeat again in a heartbeat.

ugh im so sorry i havent been able to look into how these messages work on the site -_-;;; either way here is my story revised and just over 250 words (im not much a writed hah;;;;)

Although the person who created this dish is long gone i was able to snag the recipe to this comforting nostalgic dish, not to mention pack on a few pounds after eating it. This dish was created by my great grandma ingledue and my aunt Phyllis (also a Ingledue), when i was very small she would watch me all the time while my mom worked. I remember hanging out around her old house and watching old movies (like the long forgotten Leo the Lion, or the much loved Milo and Otis). Eating freezies (the long tube of flavored ice) to my hearts content it was a happy time in my childhood. She would make this chicken noodle soup (although the soup part is more like gravy) on top of a heaping pile of buttery mashed potatoes. It was made with lots of love and she would make it when i was down, or for my birthday, and holidays. And when she was gone my aunt phyllis was there too take up that mantle. Either version of them both were identical they both tasted just as good no matter who made them! I remember being excited when I was told that either of them would be making it when I went over, I miss them both dearly and make it from time to time when I want to remember them or wanna go back memory lane to much more simpler times. Although no matter what I do I can never get those darn egg noodles right!

hello! what a cutie!

the last thing you'll need to do for this soosh to be uploaded to the masterlist is to expand on your food story a bit more - the word count is 250 words! then, your soosh will be ready to go!

Sushi Dog Food: orange swiss roll
Sushi Dog Design: https://www.deviantart.com/stash/01zjy525kbjt
EDIT: Updated design link: https://www.deviantart.com/stash/0nebd55ctdl
Second EDIT: https://www.deviantart.com/stash/01tj3zwsknxu

Story of Food: I chose orange Swiss roll cake as my special food for this month for a few reasons. I have dissociative identity disorder, and struggle a lot with my mental health. Oranges are a great tool to explain dissociation to people. There’s obviously the peel, or the body that holds everything together. When you get into the orange itself there’s pith - the white stuff or dissociation breaking the sections apart. It’s complicated and can take a while to get it all out - integration in DID is very similar. And obviously, the segments of the orange are the alters of the system. They’re separate but come together to a whole. Oranges are also good to keep in the fridge for panic attacks - the feeling of a cold orange between your hands and smell of that sweet fruit can be quite grounding. I decided that I wanted to do a Swiss roll cake specifically because I made one for a dinner party and it was a pleasant challenge. I’ve been baking since I was young, probably on my own since 10/11. Following recipes comes super easy for me so when I find one that’s a little more particular or challenging I find myself pleasantly delighted. These are a few of the reasons I chose the orange Swiss roll cake as my pawty soosh. I wanted to take my time to choose, as I know they should be somewhat significant as a food for myself. And if you bake, consider trying a Swiss roll cake, as the sponge can be really stubborn!

hello! what an adorable soosh!!

there are a couple of things that need some change before we can get this soosh on the masterlist. first, all sooshes need white-swirled bandanas (which should be small in this case since we do not allow gourmet traits for pawty MYO's)! Second, this sooth's tail resembles an object tail (a leaf) too closely right now to pass as staple. if you could change this to either a nub tail, fur tail, or wispy tail (or you could make this soosh tailless), they should be good to go. you can always purchase a premium potion or craft/buy the required enchantment to add the object tail trait to this soosh after initial approval! finally, we will need you to edit your original comment with the agreement at the bottom of the form copy and pasted. thanks for understanding <3

Sushi Dog Food: Inari or inarizushi (Rice stuffed in a seasoned fried tofu pocket)

Story of Food: When I was a little kid, I didn't like sushi at all or much of anything honestly. Any time my parents would take me out somewhere, I would always get the same exact thing, never deviating. When we'd go for sushi I'd always eat avocado rolls and cucumber rolls. That's all I was willing to try. I was a very picky kid and stuck when it came to trying new things, but my parents didn't give up on me.

One time while we were out, my mom got inari pockets. I had never seen anything like that before, and my mom told me they were a sweet type of sushi. Curious, I finally tried something new. The first time I had it, I remember thinking it was one of the best things I had ever eaten. It wasnt't much at the time, but I had one more thing I was willing to eat when we went out. Any time we went for sushi, I also now got inari pockets, treating them like a dessert after eating the rest of my food.

Now being an adult, I still almost always get inari pockets when I go out for sushi. Every time I bite into one, I think about my family and the cherished memories I have as a kid. Maybe to some it wouldn't seem like a meal would have such a great impact, but to me it did. It brings me back to dinners with my parents, laughter, learning how to use chopsticks, and a feeling of comfort and joy.

Nowadays I've definitely expanded my palette, but when I'm having a down day or I miss my family, these little tasty treats are a good comfort food to remind me of home.

hi! this is an absolutely ADORABLE design!!

in order to upload this pup, we'll need a version of the masterlist image without a watermark (you can always include your name in smaller letters alongside the design rather than covering it!). we'll also need you to copy and paste the agreement at the bottom of the form (you can just edit this in at the end of your original comment)! <3
