MYO Anniversary Event

Welcome to the Anniversary MYO Sushi Dog Event!!

Thanks for being interested in our species and event! To celebrate ten years of Sushi Dogs we are running a FREE MYO event for all members who have not participated in the past! Please be sure to read the rules carefully before submitting!

Rules & Information

Open to All Members (without an ANN Soosh) | Sep 01 - Sep 30 @ 11:59pm

For this event, we are allowing every new user during the month of September to create 1 (one) free Sushi Dog design! This is open to First-Time Owners (FTOs) and long-time members who have not participated in this event in the past!

But here's the catch! We want to hear about a food that means a lot to you and see the Sushi Dog based on it! Sushi Dogs created for this event will be labeled under the "ANN" category rather than MYO (i.e. ANN-001: Mac and Cheese)

Rules

• To participate in this event, you must fill out the form at the bottom of the page. This includes a prompt to write at least 250 words about a type of food that means a lot to you! Once ready, please comment below.

• The Sushi Dog you create must be at least loosely based on the food that you selected to write about!

• All art and design must be completed by the person submitting it! No collaborations or assistance is allowed.

• If a correction needs to be made you will be contacted either via reply or Discord if you choose to include it. Pending submissions are valid up to one week after Sep 30 @ 11:59 pm to allow for corrections. You will be notified before the week deadline.

• Any soosh created under this event is LOCKED to your account. This means you cannot trade them, sell them, gift them, or surrender them to the mirror.

• If you decide later you no longer want the design, it must be RETIRED as a Sushi Dog. They will remain on the site after retiring for archival purposes using the "RTD" tag.

• All Sushi Dogs submitted via this event must be ALL STANDARD traits. No items will be allowed to help speed up our approval process. You may apply items later once your design has been approved and registered.

• These rules may be updated later upon community questions and concerns. Please be sure to read through it one last time before submitting your design in case something has changed!

Sushi Dog Food: Fruity Charcuterie Board
Story of Food: I’ve had this idea for a while, and I knew I had to use this opportunity to make it real! I just started college in August, and while it’s been fun, I’ve been missing my family and home like crazy! Especially my sister :( When we were younger we used to play with Littlest Pet Shops all the time. Some of the first ones we ever got were a set of farm animals including a pig, a cow, and a sheep! They were some of our favorites, and I had the idea to make a triptych based on the set! I also love charcuterie boards and California has put me in a big picnic mood. So I thought I’d combine these 2 things to create a fruity country triptych! Unfortunately I only had time to design two of the three sooshes due to all the school work I’ve had, but eventually I’ll update the design to add the third addition!! Each soosh is based on a different fruit. The pig is based on apples, the cow is based on strawberries, and the sheep will be based on peaches or grapes! They all have a little flower over their eye to represent the flowers in the LPS eyes, and the other eye has a slice of their respective fruits! They’ll all have their bandanas in a similar color on their tails to tie them all together! Like a little invisible strong (taylor swift reference)! Again, thank you so so so much for this opportunity!!

Sushi Dog Food: Salami
Story of Food: Salami has always been my favorite food, it has such a unique taste to the other meats I've had. It brings back memories of a time when things weren't so dreary. I also love the rich red and white patterns on it, its such a fun snack and you can take it anywhere! Salami is also fun to say. Don't even ask me how it's made yeah I know, but it tastes amazing! I find it funny how they make it so fancy and all, it does do wonderful with cheese. Oh and sometimes they cook it with wine. I used to eat salami all the time when I was younger, then I stopped for a while. Then I started eating it again and I was like woAH.

Sushi Dog Food: Three Milk Cake
Story of Food: To me, I wanted this to be something special and personal to me.
As a kid, I remember growing up with to my mother's cooking and her few times baking. It was her baking that I had always looked forward to; especially her tres leches cake which means 'three milk cake'. She would always by a white cake mix for her base of cake then she would get three different types of milk ready for the cake while it was baking: evaporated milk, condense milk, and regular whole milk.
What made this cake special is the fact that it has the perfect amount of sweetness from the condense milk and the sponge like texture thanks to the evaporated and whole milks.
It also made a perfect comfort treat, no matter what.
Dad was always having use moved to different places due to his work so to make this cake from anyway we living always made me smile.
Currently, I have been baking a lot; especially from scratch. I made it my goal to surprise my mother with her own tres leches cake since she also would make it as a surprise to me. (Her childhood recipe asked for a cake mix but I want to see if a cake from scratch would change the flavors of it or not.)
The royal blue ascents/bandana are actually my favorite colors which isn't shown a lot since I lean towards pastel colors.
