Sushi Dog Food: Cherry Jam Sandwich
Story of food: I have always absolutely loved cherries! Even though sometimes there was a few sour ones I always picked them if I was asked which fruit I wanted as a kid, and as I grew older that didn't change.

For one of the years of high school I had to work somewhere as intern to learn more about how a job works and also how to professionally interact with people. It was very difficult for me to ask people if I could be an intern at their shop and once I even accidentally called myself 2 years younger than I was. But even though I personally did not like talking to others I do remember very very well when cherry season arrived! The shop I worked at mainly sells farm products and when the cherries arrived it was chaos.

There were so many customers that bought cherry stuff. Some got regular cherries and others got cherry chutney (About which I did not even understand at all what it was) This period in the internship learned me the most and I look back on it with fun memories.

Now whenever I put cherry jam on my bread for breakfast or on a warm fresh waffle I think back to the days of my internship and all the fun times I had there. I learned a lot which is very helpful now that I have an actual job which without the internship would have been too stressful for me. That's why I want to pick this as food for my Anni sushidog! So that whenever I'll draw her I'll also look back on those memories.

Sushi Dog Food: Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich
Story of Food: Peanut Butter and Jelly was something that comforted me as I grew up, and still does now. When I first started elementary school, I hated the tastes and textures of the school provided lunches in my mouth. They were really gross, and it would ruin the rest of my day at school. So, my mom decided to start packing my lunches for school! She would always make me peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, specifically with strawberry jelly! The sandwiches were something simple and tasty, and the textures weren’t an issue. Strawberries are also my favorite fruit, so that’s why I only ate my pb&j with strawberry jelly/jam… any other kind would make me upset as well, I was very picky.
Middle school and Highschool got tougher for me, so being able to have a pb&j made school easier to deal with when I ate it for lunch. I have fond memories of sitting in my Spanish teacher’s classroom for lunch. I hated the noise and crowdedness of our lunchroom, and my teacher was kind enough to offer me a space where I was comfortable. I even had my friends join me a few times, and I got to work on my homework there as well.
During highschool I decided to do homeschooling, so I got to make myself a pb&j sandwich whenever I wanted one! To me, that was the best thing in the world.

Overall pb&j is something I have fond memories with, it got me through a lot, so that is why I chose this as the theme for my Sushidog!

Sushi Dog Food: Glass Bottled Milk Sampler (Chocolate, Strawberry, and Regular)

Story of Food: When I was in elementary school I had an obsession with cows and the word milk! I would regularly quote phrases like “Got Milk” or “Cows say moo” to the point my family had to more or less beg me to stop. All of my usernames used to be Cutecowz and I had a glass of milk with every meal. In middle school I raised caterpillars an named each and everyone after different dairy foods/ cow related things (Cheesecurd, Milkshake, MooMoo, ect…) for whatever reason Dairy foods where just an integral part of my being.

During this time in middle school I went to a local farmers market and had my first experience with fresh chocolate milk in a glass bottle and it just was something special. It was creamy and thick unlike any other milk I ever had! In high school I got interested in FFA (future farmers of America) and joined my high schools dairy foods team and specialized in identifying different types of cheeses, flaws in milk, and rating and identifying cow species! It was during this time I also started buying large glass bottles of chocolate milk and adding a pinch of salt for flavor. Ultimately I chose a bottled milk sampler because I just really love all things dairy foods but nothing tops a good glass of fresh pasteurized whole milk ❤️ I love milk bottles too they are so cute and aesthetically appealing! I designed my little sushi puppy Trypich similar to cows with fluffy whipped cream like chest floofs and tails. I imagine them as silly clumsy little puppies just like myself! I’ve always dreamed of owning a sushi dog sense middle/ high school so this is an amazing chance at wish fulfillment.

Sushi Dog Food: Chocolate Covered Strawberries
Story of Food: My personal favorite treat is a juicy chocolate covered strawberry. These are the best treat to get for a special occasion or Valentine's Day! For instance, my boyfriend got me 24 chocolate covered strawberries last year for Valentine's Day. I ate them all almost immediately. I will admit, this is one of the rare times I will consider eating white chocolate (it is my least favorite chocolate to choose from) with a strawberry. I've never had a bad chocolate covered strawberry before, thankfully. These juicy treats are sweet and if they are made with dark chocolate - it gets balanced perfectly. I think I prefer chocolate covered strawberries on Valentine's Day or any other day because I rarely end up getting them. It is just a classic food to be able to indulge in.

Especially ones that come from someone else - which makes them so much better. I have made chocolate covered strawberries once, but I never got to eat any which was quite upsetting for me. I think they have become more important and meaningful as I've gotten older. I usually never got them often as kids - sometimes I was about to get one or two, but within the years I've been able to get them in higher quantities. These treats can also say "I love you" in my eyes! They are a very good snack and a good comfort food that has a small amount of health (maybe including the chocolate if you count dark chocolate)! White chocolate is definitely not an ideal choice - dark chocolate is the go to.

Food:poptartMy favorite food is poptarts and
I often get excited when I get them. I like them
because of
Nyan cat and fluffle puff who often have poptarts
as a thing in their
animations! I also like drawing poptarts as I feel happy
drawing something
that brings me joy. Pop tarts are great inspirations for
colors and themes
that go together and bring them together in an
aesthetically pleasing
manner,
so I tend to enjoy drawing them. Most of the cute
characters I've
seen are poptart
related and I feel extreme nostalgia of my
childhood with poptarts.
Those Saturday
mornings where I would just chill out in front of the tv
without a care
in the world enjoying
some poptarts. I like looking back to when my
life was simple and easy
and I often had poptarts as a kid, so I feel that
a sushi dog based off of my
favorite food that happens to bring me quite
a bit of nostalgia would
be extremely fitting!! I also draw poptarts a
lot as I feel like they sort of
show my personality, as they are sweet and
enjoyable! I'd often share
these poptarts with my sister when we would
hangout on the couch
on weekends and we would chat. I like looking
back on those
conversations and thinking about how fun it was.
And because
poptarts were a common thing for me back then,
it often brings
back a lot of memories I had! I also watched Nyan
cat and fluffle
puff a lot on YouTube and poptarts were a common
thing,
so I look back on that alot too
